theatre dybbuk creates provocative performances and innovative educational encounters that explore Jewish thought to illuminate universal human experience. Founded in 2011 and led by Artistic Director Aaron Henne, they envision a world where people challenge themselves to revel in the complexity of their shared humanity. theatre dybbuk has become a prominent provider of arts-based leadership training, community engagement events, and Jewish educational programs to non-profits, community organizations, synagogues, and schools in the Los Angeles area and throughout North America. HEX
Vocal Sextet
HEX is a contemporary vocal sextet based in Los Angeles interested in performing works that reimagine the expressive potential of the human voice and reframing the human voice in interesting ways. Our group features singers who have performed with LA Opera, the Los Angeles Master Chorale, LA Choral Lab, The Industry, C3LA: The Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles, and Tonality; and have interests as wide as Renaissance madrigals to microtonal singing. HEX has performed with Brightwork Newmusic, theatre dybbuk, and the Resonance Collective, and at venues such as the Broad Stage, Cal State Fullerton, Tuesdays@Monk Space, HEAR NOW Music Festival, Sound and Fury Concert Series, Master in the Chapel Series at First Lutheran Church in Venice, and N.E.O. Voice Festival.
